A benediction suitable for whenever Isaiah 55 appears in your gathering; also suited for meditations of death leading to new life and other times of transition. There are, of course, echoes of Psalm 23 as well, making this all the more fitting as a funeral benediction.
Benediction based on Isaiah 55:
Let us go out, now, in joy,
for we will be led forth in peace;
Let the mountains fill with Christ’s song,
God is with us in every valley.
Struggle gives way to growth,
death has brought forth new life;
The Risen Lord’s love endures forever,
The God of the Living goes with you.
Amen.
